In the heart of Margeride, in a small and quiet village, where a long time ago the Beast of Gévaudan has been seen, Sylvie will welcome you in three very comfortable rooms located in the renovated former farmhouse of the Maison Forte of Pompeyrin.
The village is located on a former route to Santiago de Compostela.
Today we are at 10mn by car, from the GR 65

Come and stay in our home, you'll feel at home !



The three rooms are in a separate building close to the owner's house
Our rooms are non smoking rooms
Each room has is own bathroom (shower or bath, wash basin, toilet)
The three rooms can accommodate up to 9 people
Price includes nigth and breakfast
Pets are not allowed

In the morning you will be served a copious, tasty homemade breakfast
in the ground-floor living-room or in the garden.
For lunch Sylvie can prepare you a picnic meal (8euros).
For dinner– only on request – you will enjoy local, regional or international cooking, prepared with vegetables of the garden – when possible –
and local products.
Price of meal : 19 euros including drinks
10 euros for child up to 13 years.
To relax :
independant room with bookcase, games, enclosed garden with garden furniture.

Individual discovery
(distance in mn by car from Pompeyrin)

Saugues with itsTour des Anglais, its Collègiale, its Chapelle des Pénitents, its Musée de la Bête and its cattle market (4th of France for the sheep) (10mn).
Auvers, Esplantas, the Mont Chauvet – medieval village (10mn) Le Malzieux en Lozère – little fortified town (20mn), the Mont Mouchet and its museum of Resistance (20mn), Saint Flour in Cantal (45mn) , Le Puy en Velay (50mn), The Allier Gorges (25mn), Viaduc of Millau (2h), Viaduc of Garabit (45mn), Vulcania (2h)etc....

Sports in the area

Hiking in preserved natural areas, donkey hiks, quad, riding,
swimming pool, fishing, white water sports in the Haut Allier Gorges, skiing in Lioran,
golf in Le Puy (9 hole)

Events

All year long events take place : village fair, horses or mushrooms fair, theater, medieval fest

You have also religious events like the Procession des Pénitents just befor Easter.
